September is here and the children in Venezuela are getting ready to go back to school. So we take stock of the holidays period at our Ludoteca: the truth is, that after a slow start due to low attendance, the Ludoteca was full of smiling faces, amazement, discoveries and lots and lots of fun!

Children and adults enjoyed the activities, workshops and games, all adapted to different age groups so that no one was left out. The creative, loving commitment of the Ludotecarians Ana Maria and Carlos truly paid off.
There were two full weeks of activity that everyone enjoyed, and the best thing: they were moments of learning, awareness and sharing.

The participants made cards, painted a mural, prepared compost, read stories, dramatised stories, put together puzzles, played with cars, dolls, racetracks, made legos, drew... imagined, dreamed, and had fun.
And because time takes on another dimension at the TEPUI Ludoteca, we celebrated the end of the holiday in August as if it were carnival... everyone dressed up! And it was a beautiful party, where young and old alike lived in the skin of other characters, laughed and enjoyed themselves; and for us it has been a real delight to confirm that little by little, we are succeeding.
Se acaban las vacaciones!
Ya llegó septiembre y los niños se preparan para volver a la escuela, por lo que hacemos balance vacacional: la verdad es que luego de un arranque un poco lento debido a poca asistencia, la ludoteca se llenó de caras sonrientes, asombro, descubrimientos y mucha, pero que mucha diversión!
Niños y adultos gozaron con dinámicas, talleres y juegos adaptados a todas las edades para que nadie quedara por fuera; y el empeño creativo, amoroso de los ludotecarios Ana Maria y Carlos rindió sus frutos. Fueron dos semanas completas de actividad en la que gozó todo mundo, y lo mejor: fueron momentos de aprendizaje, sensibilización y compartir.
Los asistentes hicieron tarjetas, pintaron un mural, prepararon abono orgánico (compost), leyeron cuentos, dramatizaron historias, armaron rompecabezas, jugaron con carritos, muñecas, pistas de carreras, armaron legos, dibujaron…imaginaron, soñaron, fueron felices.
Y como en la ludoteca TEPUI el tiempo cobra otra dimensión, celebramos el cierre de la jornada vacacional en agosto como si fuera carnaval…todo el mundo se disfrazó! Y fue una fiesta preciosa, donde pequeños y grandes habitaron la piel de otros personajes, rieron y gozaron; y para nosotros ha sido todo un deleite confirmar que poco a poco, lo estamos logrando.
